Costco recently introduced Deep Fried Chicken Wings to their menu at the ‘food court’ just outside of check-out. I’ve always wanted to check it out but I never got the chance until now. Especially now that I have the Costco card, I can forsee myself getting this quite often as a snack or for potluck!
One pound of chicken wings cost $7.99 and three pounds cost $16.99. Meta Knight and I got one pound with hot sauce (make sure to ask for it or else they don’t give it to you!) which was approximately 9-10 wings.
I was pleasantly surprised by the fry on these wings. They weren’t overly crunchy like battered wings nor were they flimsy oily baked wings. The coating had a light crisp which made it easy to enjoy without feeling like you’re eating a whole jug of grease.
All of the wings were cooked thoroughly, and when dipped in the hot sauce, was the bomb diggity. If you don’t like hot sauce or bbq sauce (their only two options), try cracking some fresh salt and pepper on them. It tastes really good like that.
