I've always had really pale lips and I rely on putting lip tint multiple times throughout the day to look alive (those who hung around me know I'm always putting on my Benefit lip tint) ๐Ÿ˜

I finally took the plunge and tried LIP BLUSH TATTOO with @studeomoi and I was, and still am super impressed! ๐Ÿ’‹ It's a new-ish procedure and I was really afraid of the pain and needles but Zena from @studeomoi made me feel comfortable โ˜บ๏ธ

If you're wondering about this procedure, here are my two cents:
 
1๏ธโƒฃ This treatment is best for people who have dark/pale or discolored lipsโ˜บ๏ธ

2๏ธโƒฃ There's a bit of pain in the beginning but there's numbing cream and she puts on even more halfway. I'm a wimp with needles and I got through it ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคญ

3๏ธโƒฃ Your lips feel tender on the first day but on the second day thereafter, it was like nothing happened ๐Ÿ˜Ž

4๏ธโƒฃ You will see the final HEALED colour after week 5 so I'm currently in week 4 which means it might still fade just a tiny bit by week 5 (perfect cause I want it to look even more natural!) ๐ŸŒธ

I discovered @omnipork a while ago and I love all their products so far ๐Ÿ’š You can find them at @tt_supermarket in the frozen aisle

Overall, I think it's a great product and its really similar to SPAM in that it has the kind of MSG canned meat taste ๐Ÿ˜‚ (which I crave sometimes ya know?!) It also sears really nicely and I can imagine it being great in MUSUBIS ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿคฏ

The only downside is the cost ๐Ÿค”6 pieces cost $6.99 (if I'm not mistaken) so it's more expensive than actual luncheon meat

At the end of the day, if you want to help reduce animal agriculture, save some animals, help with climate change, I think it's still a great option and I'll gladly pay a little more๐Ÿ‘

โ“HOW DO I TAKE MY IG ACCOUNT TO THE NEXT LEVELโ“(or maybe more importantly for you, how can I start collaborating with brands/restaurants?!)

๐ŸคšBEFORE YOU READ ON, the most important thing to note is that you should never start an IG account with the objective of getting free stuff/free food. It takes months, if not years to really get your account out there but you can quickly lose your motivation if you are not posting or sharing things that you're personally passionate about ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ

I know a lot of people like to scroll through IG and look at photos without liking or commenting. But the more you comment, the more your account will be seen and checked out by others. Trust me on this! ๐Ÿ˜Ž 

You can also search for brands you aspire to collaborate with, and comment on their posts. It's a passive way to get their eyes on your account โ˜บ๏ธ

In your day-to-day IG stories, use your tags! ๐Ÿ’ฅ Brands love to repost them (SCORE cuz more eyeballs on your content ๐Ÿ‘€) and they will naturally click into your profile and check you out ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘Š If you have awesome content, they'll naturally reach out!๐Ÿ‘Œ Truly!

๐ŸŒŸ It is important to rmb that success will come, but IT TAKES TIME. I started my blog in late 2011 and got invited to my first media tasting in 2012. I started IG in 2013 and didn't get actual paid collaborations๐Ÿ’ฐ till late 2017. Not to say you will take as long as me ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ˜…, but it just goes to show that you really need to have that passion as the underlying motivation that will keep you going when things aren't moving as fast as you hoped ๐Ÿค

๐ŸŒŸMy favorite of the bunch was Matcha Mochi Eclair, Hojicha Flan, Matcha Black Sesame Roll, and Thai Tea Roll ๐Ÿ’ช

The Passion Pomelo Cake was also really delicious too! ๐Ÿ’› Just a tad on the pricey side so I probably can't get it that often ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ˜

I haven't done one of these but I got really inspired by @annie_eatsfood โ˜บ๏ธ so here it goes!

โœ๏ธ I want to share my thoughts on this Instagram business and being a foodie 'influencer' (even though I really don't like that word haha ๐Ÿ™Š)

Having blogged about food for 10 years and IG consistently for 7 years, I have gone through lots of ups and downs. ๐ŸŽข I've personally even thought about stopping my food blog/IG seriously about 2-3 times.... and it's usually when:

1๏ธโƒฃ My stats aren't looking good even though I put so much time and effort into my content
2๏ธโƒฃ I compare myself to other food accounts that are growing faster than mine or always have more comments/engagement/likes than mine ๐Ÿ˜”
3๏ธโƒฃ You post consistently and it seems like nothing is moving the needle
4๏ธโƒฃ I see other influencers' tastings, collabs, and paid partnerships on IG and naturally get FOMO ๐Ÿคฆ

If you feel like this too, know that you are not alone! ๐Ÿ‘ It's really hard not to get FOMO or compare yourself to other accounts, but at the end of the day, you can only do you ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿ˜Ž If you're doing what makes you happy, and you feel proud of the content you are putting out, people will naturally see that and your content will be received! ๐Ÿ’•

๐ŸŒฟ To tell you another secret, it's taken me so long to eat and post plant-based meals because I've been afraid of 1๏ธโƒฃ losing followers 2๏ธโƒฃ not being invited to tastings 3๏ธโƒฃ losing collaborations

However, I recently decided to not let that scare me into doing what feels authentic to me. And guess what?! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ I haven't lost many followers, I've gotten DMs from people who really appreciate my new vegetarian recipes, and I've gotten new collaborations from plant based brands โ˜บ๏ธ๐ŸŒฟ I hope that shows you how important being authentic to yourself is๐Ÿ‘
